In answer to Rune's question, today ends in aprocimately half an hour. I'll have the cast out (with a heavy heart I might add) up then.

The Saucepan Man has been trapped in the Barrow!
Boots

Adieu, good Belladonna. You have served your purpose well. Many a troublesome contender has fallen at your defenders' hands.

Now, how to thwart the Warglet horde and dispose of their figurehead ...?

Good luck! While no major warg fan I respect their determination and pledge my support to their cause for them helping me rid this survivor of another nasty Took. Yes I understand they did it to save the warg and not for the Took aspect but help was appreciated all the same.

Well, I'll close up shop early.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After many Days and many attempts to be rid of her, Belladonna Took was finally voted out. "You're to friendly with Gandalf for one. You're the mother of Bilbo and you're a Took! You HAVE to go!!" The voting at tribal council that night was rather unanimous with the few odd votes for the Chief Warg:

Belladonna - 12
Warg - 6

Being distraught, Belladonna arose and ran into the forest. She ran and ran, not knowing where she was going. She ended up falling into snake den. Did I forget to mention that they were poisonous?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Contestants voted out:
Bofur
Ori
Durin (The first King Under the Mountain)
Nori
Fundin
Gandalf
Nain (father of Dain)
Bungo Bagins
Chief of Guards
Thorin
Bilbo
Golfimbul
Carc
Gollum
The Master
Dwalin
Bifur
Great Goblin
Bard
Azog
Oin
Dain
Necromancer
Old Took
Bert
Galion (Elvenking's Butler)
Girion
Thror (grandsire of Thorin)
Bolg
Elvenking
Thrain (father of Thorin)
Beorn
Dori
Balin
Kili
Tom
Roac
Eagle Lord
Belladonna Took

The remaining contestants:

The Remainder of the Messed Up Fellowship
Bombur
Fili
Gloin
Chief Warg

Day 35 with eight more contestants. GO!!

Boots A slight error

I have reviewed my spreadsheets and see that I made a .2456 error in column 7 which aggregated in an astronomical fashion until it threw my calculations off by a whole contestant spot. In spite of mormegil’s hasty vote, Bullroarer Took is going to win. It is easy to see how the error occurred. Simple rounding error threw the calculation from one B. Took to another B. Took. Minor mix up.

And I see no point in not charging right into the heart of the opposition so,

I said I'd whittle Dwarves after the feud was over.

Though I am tempted to see an attack on the tedious Bullroarer as an extension of that feud, I will hold to that affirmation.

Ask not what a hobbit can do for you, but what you can do for a hobbit!

So cruel to want this gentle giant among hobbits voted off. In hobbit fashion, he extends all hospitality to his tribe and during the challenges his fighting spirit erupts so that his tribe can have benefit of rewards and immunity!
I don't expect Mormegil to understand this many facetted person since Morm has an unnatural dislike of Bilbo and all who are related.
Don't vote for the Bullroarer who is neither evil (we have plenty of those), dwarve(plenty of those, too), or worse an annoying elf!

It is no wonder that those who love the Wargs hate the Bullroarer. He after all fought off a Wolf raid during the Long Winter.
I think I know of another reason why the Warg lovers hate hobbits in general and Bullroarer in particular. Look at what Gandalf has to say about hobbits with reference to the Long Winter:
Quote:
I began to have a warm place in my heart for them in the Long Winter, which none of you can remember. They were very hard put to it then: one of the worst pinches they have been in, dying of cold, and starving in the dreadful dearth that followed. But that was the time to see their courage, and their pity one for another. It was by their pity as much as by their tough uncomplaining courage that they survived.
In the reign of Bullroarer, amidst this great hardship, there flowered a society based on compassion, co-operation and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.
Wargs of course represent the opposite - a society based on greed and power-worship; a ruthless, dog-eat-dog, devil-take-the-hindermost philosophy.

But it's actually even scarier than that.
The wise Norsemen predicted, in their own version of the Armageddon, the Voluspa,(much loved by Tolkien) the last age before the end of the world. A society much like the one I portrayed above, when oaths were broken and brother killed brother. "Varg-old", they called it, the "Warg Age."

Is that what you all want? To bring about the end of the world? Then by all means vote to support your wolfish friend. For my part, however, I'd like our planet to soldier on a little longer.

Hoping that there are enough who are willing to go for the bullroarer after this.
