I was stuck by one of the passages in which Morwen sends Turin to reside with Thingol in The Hidden Kingdom. Thingol whole-heartedly welcomes Turin and 'adopts' him as his foster son. The passage says something along the lines of 'and never again was a son of Man taken as a foster child by one of the Eldar' (not a direct quote, don't have the book in front of me). At any rate, wasn't Aragorn taken as a foster son by Elrond? This could just be one of the discrepencies in Tolkien's writings, but I just wondered if anyone else caught that and saw it the same way I did. -amyrlis</p>
