OK, I decided to put my comments in a separate post, in order to avoid lengthening the original post even further.

I think this article rocks, personally. I'm sure I'll get somebody coming in here and pointing out where it falls short, but as far as I can see, it's pretty solid. It presses the point: It wasn't Faramir who was changed as much as Frodo and Sam, especially Frodo. And of course, Faramir DID experience change, just not nearly as much as we might surmise at first, or even fifth, glance.

OK, I guess that's about all I've got to say. So, what do my fellow Downers think? Agree? Disagree? I know you're not going to throw roses at my feet, and I don't want you to, but I thought this article provided a fresh perspective to an ageold debate.
