When Frodo is tired of the giving of Bilbo's farewell-presents and all the hobbits (uninvited) searching for Bilbo's 'gold', Otho and Lobelia come and Merry politely answers them: 'Frodo is indisposed' To which Lobelia says: 'Hiding you mean'
And shortly after when the S-B´s finally left again came knocking on the door, and Frodo feels it can wait. Then comes Gandalf's head before the window, saying: 'If you don't let me in Frodo, I shall blow your door right down your hole and out through the hill.'
