La Belle Dame sans Merci
|
I recently studied the Saga for a class and was sadly disappointed when the only two people in the classroom that could keep up the conversation on Tolkien-based reflections of it were the professor and the head of the department.
Here's some of what I found: A ring that pretty well dooms all that come in contact with it. Gram, the sword re-forged. Sigurd, slayer of Fafnir, who, as with Turin and Glaurung, hid in a ravine and stabbed the dragon through the belly as he passed overhead. Rune, I've forgotten half of what we chatted about. I don't suppose you remember? Going on break drives classwork entirely from thought.
