Great link Kuruharan.
I just thought of another question, and, while glancing through that other thread, I saw some similar comments. Balrogs are fire. Dragons Breathe fire. Therefore, logic says that the fire wouldn't do any damage. But we never specified what type of dragon or even which Dragon. Maybe we are not being specific enough. Gandalf mentions that maybe Dragon Fire could have melted the One Ring. Perhaps the Fire of Ancalagon the Black could have done a Balrog harm? Or perhaps a cold-drake (I believe that Scatha was a cold-drake?) would have had a better chance. Who knows, as there is not an entirely extensive history of Dragons. (700 posts!)
