Rune is absolutely correct. The word "named" is gathered from the actual context, so I think he did that... And what a mighty scene, Fingolfin like a silvery flash under a dark cloud! It's my background picture on the computer right now...

A very nice scene indeed. There's a song about that battle, made by Blind Guardian. It's called When Time Stands Still (At The Iron Hill). It's very good, you should listen to it.
