Lalaith's Personal Title is "Blithe Spirit" . To explain the second clue first. Blithe Spirit is the title of a play by Noel Coward featuring a medium called Madam Arcati. However the phrase originally comes from the first line of a Poem called "Ode to a Sky Lark" by P.B.Shelley

"Hail to thee Blithe Spirit! Bird thou never wert,"

So

Ave! You were not singing 'in excelsis'.

Ave is Hail in latin and Bird in Spanish. Singing in Excelsis (on high) is what Skylarks are known for......
