I think this is virtually impossible. It was over 500 years between the founding of Rohan and the Battle of the Fords of Isen.

That one is easy ...

Eorl -> Ceorl

There is no seperation, as "Ceorl" is simply the name for a footsoldier. Those Eorl were in contact with plenty ;o)
