I am sure that, had no one died, sufficient evidence of Werewolf activity could have been given to work the villagers up into a suitably lynch-happy state.
But that's water under the bridge for this game. And I suggest that we leave any further questions of this nature until the end of this game (unless they require an immediate answer for the purposes of the game), since they have too much potential to influence its course.
