A thought: perhaps we should make these deaths more Tolkien-related?

At the top of the page is a spot called Members List, between FAQ and calendar. Click on that, then choose the letter you are working on. Every letter including Q and X has members. This place is great because one does not have to think of names and everyone might have a fair shot of seeing their own fun deaths.
You're right, guy who be short, it should be Tolkien related as possible, but it is fun trying to keep the 'or' rhyme going.

'Y' is for Yavanna who was eaten by Meneldor.

I was mopping the kitchen when it dawned on me that I didn't follow my own advice. 'X' is after 'W', not 'Y' (sorry, guy who be short, I think you forgot the ABC order part, too).

X is for Xphial who got poisoned from the fruit of the trees of Valinor.

Holbytlass: I did use the Members list function before, but I didn't want to do members who aren't active. Some of those people havn't come on the BD since 1970! And a very large number signed up, posted a little and left. I much prefer referring to the people I've come to know so well.

Anyway, I'm in two minds about doing "Z." The only regular Downer beginning with Z is Zifnab, and he's already been done (in by a door).
