As you can guess...I'm not a new member. I've recently crawled out from under my rock and thought I would check back in with the 'downs. Plus, these new forum updates are quite impressive. If you happen to read this, I apologize for the dull and lame reply. But sometimes a guy just likes to hear himself talk.

Hello,
What a nice place. I'm one of those old Tolken fans. I had read LOTR at least seven times before I even heard about the movie. I'm certainly no expert on Tolkien, but I will probably chime in from time to time. (I'm one of those guys that makes notes in the margins.) Would love to discuss LOTR, The Silmarillion, or The Hobbit with anyone. I've read them all many times and get something new each time I re-read them. Looking forward to some wonderful discussions.
