A while back there was a thread where links to pictures of Barrow-Downers were posted, but is no longer running. Could we perhaps start it up again? I found it fun to be able to see what people looked like.

Being an actress doesn't make one "good looking"... no to say I haven't gotten cat calls and stuff... but cat calls and actual compliments are two different ballparks. Besides, phantom, I don't have a webpage set up for myself, unlike some other *cough*phantom*cough* people here

So, perhaps we can somehow set up a way for people to send me their pictures and I can set it up? Hmmm... let's wait and see how many more people are interested, and then maybe we can have people PM me for contact info or something?

I would certainly be interested - it was interesting to see it, and the previous thread about the gallery stretched to quite a number of pages. That fact, along with the interest shown in threads such as 'what do you think other barrowdowners look like', are evidence that a fair number of Downers would be interested in the idea, and the continuance of the gallery.

Oh, you want reassurance that more people are interested? Well, count me in! I would love to see the gallery back - it was really interesting. Although I don't think I ever got around to sending my picture in, I think I'll make an effort for this one.

I think that it's a great idea, if you're willing to take it on. It would be worth trying to get in touch with Alkanoonian to see if he can send you the pictures that were on the gallery that he maintained, as there are quite few members still posting who had pictures up there.

So far I've received 3 PMs from interested people, and I've received one picture via email.

So (everyone), if you don't have a picture on the old page and want one on the new one, then PM me. If you have a picture on the old page but want a new/different picture on the new one, then PM me.
Otherwise, if you have a picture on the old page it will automatically go on the new one unless you contact me to say that you don't want it included.

ETA: I swear, it's sad when I look at my post count everytime I post now... I had over 1500 posts before these boards were redone or switched over, or whatever happend. I just remember not being able to sign on for quite some time, giving up, and then trying again and finding that my posts had majorly diminished, and my user pic was gone. Le sigh. I need to find my motivation to get scholarly again.

I have only received pics from three people so far, so I'm gonna wait until I get more to put the page up. It takes a while for my file manager to open because there is so much in there, so once I have it open I like to do a lot at once. Otherwise I wait forever for it to open and then do almost nothing... it's almost not worth the wait, heh.
So, get your pics in, peeps. So far I have pics from Amanaduial the Archer, Paavo, and Feanor of the Peredhil

Tig, on Alk's site, if you hover your mouse over the pics, used to be that the writing in the bottom corner of the screen (where the browser tells when it's done and stuff) will show the name of the link, which *should* have the name of the person in it.
