What I was thinking of was that they each have an equivalent character in the Kalevala (surprise surprise Kalevala again!
 ) . Gandalf could be Väinämöinen, Túrin and Kullervo are similar as are Nienor and Marjatta (Kullervos sister). But anyway, good job Evisse. take the thread.
