Where are the Easterlings?
Where were the Easterlings in TrotK? Maybe this is a subject that has been asked a lot, but I want to know where the Easterlings were in the movie. They are in the books, but not in the movie.

The Easterlings were the people entering the Black gate in Two Towers. The scene where Sam Falls down the mountain and Frodo follows him and throws his cloak over them as a disguise. They were also at the battle at the black gate and the battle of pellonnor fields.
(Atleast I think these were the easterlings, correct me if I'm wrong and if not who were they?) p.s 40th post!! Yay me! |

The Easterlings are the ones at the Black Gate in TTT, and the Haradrim are the ones on the Mumakil. Easterlins have shiny armour, and the Haradrim wear combat clothes. So where were the Easterlings?

maybe they weren't in rotk because they looked middle eastern and Jackson didn't want to inflame an already explosive situation that was going on in the real world? i.e. he didn't want to convey the war as good guys = westerners bad guys = middle eastern??

But Aragorn does make an impassioned plea to the Men Of The West!
I have to shake my head thinking about certain interpretations of that line...

This source may not be entirely reliable but I'm pretty sure that in the ROTK game when you fight at pelennor fields and at the black gate they are labeled as easterlings.

Yes they ARE in the game, but not in the movie. Well, it's a shame, there were only ''stinking Mordor rats and Morgul rats''. And the Haradrim. The Easterlings are next to the Uruk-Hai the coolest vilians
