yes tis' true what you say they did help out each other-Tolkien in fact was inspired by Lewis himself! Tolkien does the same for Lewis aswell-I remember the incidinent when Tolkien read The Chronicles of Narnia(Lewis' work) and thought it very childish of him to be writing children's books!...In any case both were great friends and that also concludes why both are born-again christians!
