The Welsh song The Ash Grove also reminds me of Middle-earth, though I'm not really sure why. I guess the plaintive way it was written makes me think of the Elves; how they eventually have to leave the woods and streams they love behind and sail into the West.

And didn't anyone notice that awful pun I made? I'm seriously proud of that...
