I knew you would have notebooks! I used to keep them for years and have stacks of them full of writing by me and my old friends. As for Sylvia Plath, I could go on for ages; I specialised in her work at university (I'm a big poetry nut) - there's a lot more to her work than meets the eye. I think Lady Lazarus is my favourite, but Ican also recommend Ted Hughes' Birthday Letters, apart from being marvellous themselves, as they shed a lot of light on her work from a biographical viewpoint.
