It's been my experiance that those who criticize tolkiens style of writing usually are not that well read anyway. Sad , but there it is.
A little off topic maybe; furthermore I rather liked the exclusivity of tolkien fans before the movies. I'm not saying that those who've read the books after the films are bad or annoying--not at all. I just don't like illiterate goofball critics
