As one of my very old Hobbit character's might comment, a wizened old lady from Hobbiton, as she taps her stick irritably on the ground:

"Now what's all this going on about bitter recompense and love and loyalty springing out of sorrow.

Elf blather!

The world don't need perfection, s'what I say. It needs more couplings and fat-cheeked, smiling babies. That and good gardens. And beehives . . . a bit of honey, as my own gran said, will get you past any bitterness."

But I could just see my dear Amaranthas wanting to tell the Elf to quit being so airy-faerie. She's an irritable old dear with definite opinions and a stout blackthorn walking stick.
