Lindir's got the right idea...think, would Peter Jackson say "47.23% of the movie was digitally graded"? No! Also, check out the extras on the FotR DVD EE for the answer.

Phew!! symestreem got it. I think it's pretty remarkable that they went over 70% of the movie, tweaking and adjusting it. For any of you who work on computers, especially with Photoshop or something, you can just imagine how much work that is! Just another example of how awesome PJ and the gang were!
