Nurumaiel, the funniest defence of the word 'Scotch' I ever heard was something along these lines;

"Scotch must be a proper description because Queen Victoria used it."

Very funny stuff! Alright then, I'll concede. The traits of Britishness are always identical with the traits of Englishness. But I suppose that I'm alright with that. I do drink an extraordinary amount of tea.
