Hey guy who be short, ever hear of Samuel Taylor Coleridge? He lived about 200 years ago and came up with the idea of "suspension of disbelief". He also distinguished between "fantasy" and "fancy". Your little "gook" thing, according to him, was 'fancy'. Fantasy, as Tolkien's subcreation, is more than that. Subcreation is making after the image in which we're made.
