I remember this one from an IQ test I took. Funny cause I never thought about the obvious significance of those names. I suppose that makes me stupid.
As for the last one - well, I bet that's really confusing and frustrating for those who know real Elvish!

Silmaril Poor Tolkien readers...

Somehow it just came into my mind that if everyone around the world will be required to take such IQ tests, we Tolkien readersv would get low scores because we would think of how the words relate to the books rather than looking for the logic behind the questions!

Don't you think so?

Althern has just left Hobbiton.
IQ and other such tests use 'meaningful' labels to represent objects or parameters for just this reason, to penalise people for introducing information outside the scope of the problem. Whoever does this deserves whatever low score they get.
