Aragorn son of Arathorn=acorn son of a thorn
Boromir=the-dude-who-just-won't-die (in reference to his death speech in the movie)
Gandalf=gandy
Glorfindel=glorfy
Elrond= freaky-eyebrow-dude or rondie
Galadriel=gally or freaky-radioactive-she-elf
