Enorëiel, check your CD for grease stains & the like - it's the most common cause when CD's refuse to play. Usually it's enough to use a bit of dishwashing cleaner to get it off. Just be sure to clean from center to radius, or vice versa - no circular movements on a CD! And of course, use clean cloth (I actually just use my clean(!) fingers with a bit of dishwasher to get it off, then water to rinse, & then clean chloth) In more hard cases you can use alcohol to clean - just always remember any cleaning & rinsening should be done from center & out...
