For some people, spoilers help them adjust to the changes made in transforming the book to a movie. It's easier to swallow the absence of the 'Scouring of the Shire' or having Shelob moved to Part 3 when you have time to get used to the idea. For others, spoilers are like an appetizer - they heighten the anticipation. And those like you who want to wait so that the first impression will be fresh avoid "snacking" on spoilers in advance.
