You're right that there technically is no Christ figure in ME: I don't know why, but I always pictured Aragorn as a loose Christ figure (loose is the key word there).<P>Here's how I feel about the religious qualities of LotR vs Matrix: I don't like listening to the oracle's mumbo jumbo, and in a way the whole movie is tied to that. LotR does not have that mumbo jumbo. Clear enough?
