Well, for instance, they stayed true to the books on that part. If you read the chapter on Helms Deep, Legolas and Gimli were at a contest with each other as to who would kill the most. It had nothing to do with WHO was killing the most, it merely had to do with "a dwarf would not let an elf win, vise versa" type thing. <P>It was just one of those things that they took from the books.
