Besides, we all know Treebeard's a vegitarian. <P>I do seem to be drawn to the more tortured characters in the books. The ones that start with good intentions and suddenly find themselves on the wrong side of the fence. <P>My favourite Saruman moment is when he worms some "leaf" from the hobbits. It's funny to think that he slams Gandalf for smoking the stuff and all the time he's hidding in the bathroom with the window open and a rolled up towel blocking the crack under the door. I really would like to see that in the film somewhere, but my hopes aren't high.<P>H.C.
