Inconsistencies-I'm not grouchy, these are just so obvious after you see it 10 times - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

As I've mentioned, a lot of these are not mistakes at all, and some are due to over active imaginations. eg: Gandalf's tennis shoes that was mentioned in another thread.<P>As for stuff like Boromir's moving hand, I strongly suspect this stuff happens in movies all the time. I've watched audio commentaries on some pretty big and highly acclaimed movies and often you'll get directors pointing out their own mistakes. It's hardly uncommon.
