* smokes a contemplative bowl of pipeweed *Like MallornLeaf, Varda, Thinlaithion, Nevfeniel, and Arwen Imladris, ...I also choose "Concerning Hobbits" as my favorite song from the soundtrack.How fortunate are the rest of you, for whom "Concerning Hobbits" evokes only sweetness, the upbeat, and happiness. The song is for me also tinged with wistful yearning ... even pain ... sharp as the glancing touch of a white sword. For though I can visit the Shire, it is not my doom to settle permanently into its comfort. Which truth then reminds me of the Realm beyond the Western Sea ... and that neither am I yet arrived to leave off wandering, at the home awaiting there.
