Out of curiosity, I visited the Ancanar site. Wow! I never thought I'd see Elves portrayed in a way that disregards Tolkien's descriptions entirely. I completely agree with VanimaEdhel about the haircuts. These elves look like Roman soldiers to me. Of course that's just my opinion. I wonder whether Tolkien's Middle Earth would be recognizable in this movie, since the elves certainly wouldn't be recognized as elves unless someone actually informs you that they are elves. This may come off to be a bit close-minded, but personally I think that Tolkien's work is magical enough without having other people creating new, unrecognizable versions of it.
