When I first heard that Richard Harris was dead. I was like, "hmm, wonder who will be Dumbledore then? I know! Ian Meckellen! Isn't he MADE for the role? I mean he did play Gandalf and he is a GREAT actor!" Guess I was right all along! I don't understand why Tolkien fans don't like it. I mean Sir Ian IS an actor. And I think he will make a splendid Dumbledore. The Potter books of course can't compare with the LOTR, but they are fun entertainment, and the movies are gaining big bucks too.
