How did you find LOTR?? The movie first or the book.

No matter how much I tell myself that the movies are adaptations, I know I will end up being disappointed somehow if I have a set story in my head. So I guess to elaborate on what I said about two experiences, I think the order you do the two effects how much you can successfully enjoy the two separately.
