yeah, the Boromir in the book was really unlikeable. When I watched the movie, I started to understand why he was so desperate for the Ring. My impression of him really changed when the fellowship arrived at Lothlorien. <P>Sean Bean brought out the enormity of Boromir's responsibilities - saving Gondor. You could almost feel his fears and his hopelessness, just from his voice.
