Well, I still don't like Boromir. Even though he did fight bravely for Merry and Pippin, everything else seems to be focused on getting the ring from Frodo. I think that the only reason that he fought for Merry and Pippin was to redeem himself somehow. I didn't like him in the books and the movie didn't make me like him any more. Part of what I don't like about him in the movie is that he takes so freaking long to die! Sorry, but I don't really like death sceans and they just dragged it out way to long. That is my opinion anyway.
