I was pretty much straight faced through the first viewing. Didn't laugh or cry but did make several frowns when I noticed the changes in the story.<P>The second viewing was different. This time I was able to enjoy the film without making a critical analysis.<P>At laughed when Gandalf hit his head on the beam in Bag End, at the Hobbit children when they were listening to Bilbo, and at Gimli's reaction to Aragorn' words "lets go hunt some Orc".<P>Can't say that I cried but my eyes were teary when Boromir, while dying, confessed Aragorn as his King and when Sam showed his committment to Frodo when he waded into the river Anduin and nearly drowned.
