Slaves of Mordor. Now were not all of the servants, fighters, orcs, ringwraiths, and the mouth of Sauron considered slaves? Surely the definition of slavery would not be far from not having your say, owing complete respect and giving your life to someone.

Sauron surely did not pay his orcs, he merely rewarded them by giving them man-flesh and by lessening the beatings.

All of Saurons troups were in his servitude.

I don't believe that Saruman was one of his slaves, despite the link the two of them had with the Palantiri, Saruman was himself too powerful to easily bow to Sauron. Saruman stood up to Sauron and tried to get the Ring from out of under his nose by sending his Uruks after the Hobbits.

A good representation of the power the slave master Sauron had over his slaves is the surrender and disappearance of all his troups once the Ring was destroyed. The ring was the reason Sauron could keep all of his servants/slaves under his spell.
