CASTLE MALADIL INSPIRATION:

Below is a picture of the French Castle at Old Fort Niagara in Youngstown, New York. This picture was taken in the year 1874. Imagine the outside as being made of golden granite.

There are of course some differences with the layout of Castle Maladil, ... (most particularly Laurëondo's walls), ... and its grounds.
