Kane glared the elf in front of him, his chest an inch from the tip of Kanes arrow. But it wasnt Kanes, it was an elfs arrow...he would have to kill an elf with his own arrow...ah, his brother would love that...

"Try not to sound so confused." Kane shot back at the elfs comment. Maeralagos turned back to face him, but didnt speak, didnt continue his fancy speech. He simply looked slowly and deliberately down at the arrow, inches from his chest, then back at Kane. The easterling returned his gaze, then, without removing his eyes from the elfs face, he began to raise the arrow...

Maeralagos didnt move, but closed his eyes. "May the Valar have mercy on me..."

...and Kane continued to raise the arrow, up, level with Maeralagos' forehead...

...then past his shoulder. Kane shot the arrow into the air past the elf, then dropped the bow. Maeralagos gasped as he heard the bow string snap back into place as the arrow was released, then very slowly, opened his eyes to look back at Kanes, now returning his gaze once again.
