The Innkeeper had retired for the evening, leaving Primrose Bolger to mind the Common Room through the wee hours of the night. She saw the Elf in the green hood standing at the bar.

'Another guest!' she sighed, wiping her hands, wet from washing mugs, on her apron. She hurried over and inquired what the Lady might be needing.

'A room, you say,' she asked, and would you be wanting food and drink also, m'Lady?'

She motioned for Buttercup, the sleepy-eyed upstairs maid, to go ready the room with the western facing window for the guest. Then, leading the Elf to a table by the fire, she asked if she might bring her something warm to drink, or cold if she preferred, while she waited for her room to be ready.
