As she said this, with the charming smell of mushroom soup wafting throughout the inn, she thought about his confession. *Each to his own* she thought, and though she knew little of the world and magic, she would not hold this against him.

Champignonne had perceived the two very carefully. She had wondered that they had not traveled with each other, for Ellie had such a familiar tone, but then, maybe that was her way.
