What if Frodo had Sting at Weathertop? - The Barrow-Downs Discussion Forum

I've always wondered what would've happened at Weathertop if Frodo had Sting at the time. Would he have killed all of the Ringwraiths? It is a possibility... [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I dont think he could have killed the nazgul as he wasn't good at sword-fighting. Even if he managed to kill one or even two(which is far-fetched) the other 4 would swoop down on him for one because he stabbed their companion, and not to mention the ring drew them to frodo, frodo could not have fought off all 5 nazgul, sword-on-sword. One possibility I could see is if he could stay them off with sting until aragorn rushed in, but besides that doubtful...

There were five not six. Frodo didn't stab in an vital spot. It would've done more damage but nothing more.

Shout out Elbereth if someone at school attacks you. And hold a perfume bottle that looks elvish.

I don't think Sting would've done too much damage to the Ringwraith, I mean, even if he stretched, he wouldn't have reached the heart.

I don't think anything would have happened... I mean, he still would have put on the ring and he still woulda been stabbed.
