I love Babylon 5, and I do not think it is a Star Trek clone either *Sticks tongue out at enep*

I do not believe there are many similiarities but I am sure some Races or Events could be thought related.

Well the "First Ones" excluding the Shadows could be the Ainur. The Minbari could be the Elves, the Centauri were 'manipulated' by the Shadows so they could be corrupted wild men. (hehe) The Anla'shok would be Dunedain, the Shadows would be Sauron and his forces. There are alot of other possibilities too, but the two story-lines are nothing alike.
