Aduchil congratulates Mithidan on his poem. He also wants to give it a try:

The barrow-wight, whom we all praise
has gathered us to a feast,
and his banner on this field we will raise.
We should be merry, both the greatest and the least.
Wine is poured in cups for us to drink
So empty your cup and sink!!
Because it is now the time to celebrate,
if not the Wight, then this day at any rate.
Come from all corners of Middle-Earth,
the downs are the place where we have fun.
Your contribution is of great worth,
and we will feast until the setting of the sun.
