Through the melody of the song, green leaves shook in the wind, birds twittered upon their perches in the full trees, with the sun coming down the canopy and yet darkening the forest instead of making it brighter. The melody changed from sweet to sorrowful, then back, always shifting. He looked down the whole time, and from outside the room, perhaps a couple of folk passing by could hear faintly through the door.
