"Dead Man's Dike" is actually "Deadmen's Dike" - the name given to Fornost (Fornost Erain) after its ruin and desertion in Third Age 1974.

Here is a map of The Shire and Bree-land.

Deadmen's Dike is north of Bree up the Old North Road (in later times named The Greenway), about 100 miles.
