Yes, this question's been posted several times.

Meanwhile, my favorite place is Minas Tirith or Edoras. Characters are Faramir, Boromir (each from both movies and books) and Bard.

I would have to say that my favourite place would be somewhere near Dale, or Lake Town. Dain Ironfoot is my favourite character, followed by Radagast the Brown. Dain because:

1.) He is a dwarf (favorite race)
2.) He was very young when he first became a respected warrior (in the war of the dwarves and the goblins)
3.) Very little has been mentioned of him, and
4.) He had a red axe! Stripling dwarrow he was!

As for Radagast? He just disappears in the Trilogy and yet 'seems' to play a part in winning the war; sending the eagles and all (Prolly to make up for how he unknowingly led Gandalf to imprisonment in Orthanc) Just rox0rz all around.
