What have I gotten myself into!!! Everywhere I look there are giants trying to kill me, or giving me funny looks like they'd LIKE to kill me. Me old dad always said that Men were dangerous, but he never told me they have NO sense of humor!

Frodo and Sam have turned into a total drags, too. They used to be such party animals, but now they're jumping at every loud noise and looking over their shoulders. I'd head back to Buckland right now, if I could read a map.

We'll, we're taking off again in the morning, but I'm not going anywhere without a few drinks in me. Gotta see if Barliman can slip a little something in my flask "for the road".
